Salem, OR.- Several people were killed in an accident that happened in northeast Salem on Saturday evening, according to the Marion County Sheriff's Office.
The collision happened on Cordon Road between Carolina Avenue Northeast and Sunnyview Road Northeast at around 8 p.m. September 20.
Two cars reportedly crashed on Cordon Road under unclear circumstances.
Four people inside one of the vehicles were killed in the accident.
Three other parties in the second vehicle were transported to a hospital and two of them had serious injuries.
The crash led to the closure of Cordon Road Northeast as authorities investigated the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
