Woman Dies in Calexico Crash at Willoughby Road and Dogwood Road
Calexico, California (August 4, 2021) – A 25-year-old woman from Calexico was killed in a car accident on Tuesday afternoon in Calexico, according to the CHP.
The incident happened at about 3:36 p.m. August 3, at Willoughby and Dogwood roads.
CHP said a Jeep Compass traveling eastbound on Willoughby Road drifted into the northbound side and collided with a Ford F-250 pickup truck.
The impact sent both vehicles off the side of the road and into the Central Main Canal.

The driver of the Jeep died in the accident. Her name was not immediately released.
The other driver sustained a cut on their hand.
The crash remains under investigation.
