At least two people were pronounced dead at the scene. At least two others were hospitalized with injuries.

Tracy, CA. – Two people died in a multi-vehicle accident that happened Friday afternoon on 580 Freeway in Tracy, the California Highway Patrol reported.
At least six vehicles were involved in the pileup around 4:06 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the freeway just west of Corral Hollow Road.
First responders found several people trapped inside their vehicles.
At least two people were pronounced dead at the scene.
At least two others were injured. One patient was hospitalized with major injuries, including a broken wrist, and another with minor injuries, including the complaint of pain to the neck.
Eastbound 580 Freeway was closed following the crash. Motorists were being diverted onto the 205 Freeway.
