Santa Rosa, CA. – Two people were seriously injured in a car collision that took place Sunday evening at an intersection in Santa Rosa, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The wreck occurred around 7:05 p.m. on Old Redwood Highway at Edwards Rancho Road.
According to authorities, a silver Yukon and a black SUV were involved in the collision. Both cars acquired major front-end damage in the accident.
One person got trapped inside one of the vehicles.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victim then transported them to the hospital with a head injury.
Another person was also hospitalized with a laceration to the right arm.
Police officers are investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
