Klamath County, OR.- Two people were killed in a traffic collision that took place in Klamath County earlier this month, according to the Oregon State Police.
The accident took place on Highway 97 near Milepost 228 on November 1.
The OSP said Gurvinder Singh, 32, was traveling northbound on I-17 when he lost control of the white Cascadia Freightliner he was driving and the big rig drifted into the southbound side and jack knifed.
The big rig was then struck by a southbound black Subaru WRX, which then got pinned under the rig.
The driver of the Subaru, Leonides Jimenez Mendoza, 24, and Humberta Hernandez Hernandez, 43, were both pronounced deceased at the scene.
The highway was shut down for hours as authorities worked to clear the scene.
The OSP is investigating the incident.
