Galt Police said an 81-year-old woman was attempting to park her Jeep Cherokee in a parking space infront of the pharmacy when she accelerated into the sidewalk and hit a pedestrian

Galt, CA.– Two people were injured in a crash involving a pedestrian in Galt on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Galt Police Department.
The crash happened at the CVS Pharmacy located at 1063 C Street on Tuesday, August 12.
Galt Police said an 81-year-old woman was attempting to park her Jeep Cherokee in a parking space infront of the pharmacy when she accelerated into the sidewalk and hit a pedestrian.
The Jeep then crashed into the handrail and windows of the pharmacy.
Medics responded to the scene and treated the driver and the pedestrian involved in the accident.
No one inside the pharmacy was injured in the incident.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
