Tortilla Flat, AZ. – Two people were seriously hurt in a single vehicle accident in Tortilla Flat on Wednesday night, according to the authorities.
The wreck happened on the Apache Trail at milepost 219 shortly before 8 p.m. October 8.
A vehicle drove off a cliff and landed nearly 350 feet down a steep slope.
The Superstition Fire & Medical District worked to rescue the vehicle's occupants from the steep slope.
Two people were airlifted to a trauma center with critical injuries.
A third occupant of the vehicle was treated for unspecified injuries.
Authorities are working to determine the cause of the accident.
