Mendocino County, CA. – One person was hospitalized after a car hit a tree Saturday afternoon in Leggett, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident was reported around 1:49 p.m. in the 69310 block of Highway 101 just in front of Cal Fire Leggett Station.
A Toyota 4Runner slammed into a tree along the roadway under unclear circumstances. A speed and a cautionary sign were destroyed in the crash.
One person sustained moderate injuries in the crash.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and transported the patient to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
