Redwood City, CA. – One person was hospitalized with major injuries after a two-vehicle collision that happened Sunday night in Redwood City, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The incident occurred around 9:06 p.m. on State Route 92 at State Route 35.

A red BMW sedan and a black pickup truck were involved in the crash.

The BMW went about 40 feet off the roadway after the first impact.

The San Mateo Sheriff’s Department, firefighters, and paramedics responded to the scene.

One person was transported to Stanford Hospital with major injuries.

Both vehicles were towed away from the scene.

Authorities shut down SR-92 for an unknown period during the investigation.
