1 Killed in Car Accident on Highway 165 near American Avenue in Merced
Merced, California (December 5, 2022) – At least one person was killed in a car crash on Monday evening near Hilmar in Merced.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 5:41 p.m. on Highway 165 near American Avenue.
A semi-truck and at least two other vehicles were involved in the collision, but the circumstances surrounding the collision were not immediately established.
Officials say at least one person was killed in the crash.
The name of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed.
At least one other person was injured in the accident and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Additional information about the accident was not provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
