According to the authorities, a 49-year-old Olivehurst man was driving a Jeep Patriot eastbound on Berry Road when he collided with a Ford F-150 traveling north on SR 70

Sutter County, CA.- One person was killed in a car accident that took place in Sutter County on Saturday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place on Berry Road and SR 70 at about 2:48 p.m. March 8.
According to the authorities, a 49-year-old Olivehurst man was driving a Jeep Patriot eastbound on Berry Road when he collided with a Ford F-150 traveling north on SR 70.
The impact sent both vehicles off the side of the roadway, and they crashed into a light pole and a sign pole.
The driver of the Jeep was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The other driver, a 30-year-old woman from Winnemucca, Nevada, was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries.
According to CHP, alcohol and drugs were not suspected to have played a role in the incident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
