Mojave, CA. – One person died in a car accident that happened Friday afternoon at an intersection in Mojave, the California Highway Patrol said.

The wreck took place around 4:30 p.m. at Oak Creek Road and 70th Street West.

A Pontiac Grand Prix collided with another car at the intersection for an unknown reason.

Kern County firefighters responded to the scene and pronounced one person dead.

A coroner representative responded to the location following the deadly accident.
