One person killed, one person injured in collision at Taft Highway and Buena Vista Road in Bakersfield
Bakersfield, CA. – One person was killed and another was hospitalized following a car crash in Bakersfield on Friday afternoon.
According to a California Highway Patrol report, the accident happened at the intersection of Taft Highway and Buena Vista Road.
A Nissan van was traveling southbound on Buena Vista Road when it failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection and collided with a Jeep traveling westbound.
Both drivers were transported to the hospital.
Sadly, the driver of the Nissan later succumbed to their injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
