The Fresno man was riding a motorcycle in the area of Parkway Drive and Herndon Avenue when he collided with a pickup truck just before 7 p.m. on November 4.
Fresno, CA – Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who died after colliding with a pickup truck Wednesday night in Fresno as 51-year-old Mathew Gibson.
The Fresno man was riding a motorcycle in the area of Parkway Drive and Herndon Avenue when he collided with a pickup truck just before 7 p.m. on November 4.
According to Fresno police, a man was driving a Dodge Ram flatbed pickup truck towing a 28-foot livestock trailer when he pulled out of the EZ Trip gas station. Gibson, who was at that time approaching the area on a Yamaha R6 motorcycle, crashed into the truck.
Responding emergency personnel pronounced Gibson dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
Drugs and alcohol did not appear to be contributing factors. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Fresno, CA – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving a truck towing a livestock trailer on Wednesday evening in Fresno.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place on Parkway Drive north of Herndon Avenue at around 6:50 p.m. on November 4.
A Dodge Ram flatbed pickup truck towing a 28-foot livestock trailer was reportedly exiting the EZ Trip gas station when the driver made a left turn onto southbound Parkway Drive.
A Yamaha R6 motorcycle rider traveling north on Parkway Drive crashed into the left side of the truck.
According to CHP, the man riding the motorcycle was wearing a helmet and was declared deceased at the scene. His name was not immediately released.
The man driving the truck was not injured and stayed at the scene after the accident.
Alcohol and drugs were not believed to have played any role in the accident, according to CHP.
The crash is still under investigation.
