Nipton, CA – Minor injuries were reported in a traffic collision involving a big rig that happened Thursday morning in Nipton, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident transpired around 6:33 a.m. on October 29, 2026, on the northbound 15 Freeway, just half a mile north of Yates Well Road.
A gray Honda CRV and a white big rig were involved in the accident. The Honda went about 40 feet off the roadway into a ditch, and the semi-truck pulled over to the shoulder.
The Honda was occupied by four people, including a child of approximately 5 years. A male occupant of the car said he was bleeding on his left arm near the elbow. The juvenile experienced signs of vomiting.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and offered medical aid to the victims.
The Honda was towed away from the scene.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
