Tonopah, AZ – Woman Killed after Tractor-Trailer Slams into Car Stopped in Interstate 10 Lanes

Tonopah, AZ – A woman died after her car was rear-ended by a big rig Wednesday night in Tonopah, the Arizona Department of Public Safety reported.

The accident transpired around 11 p.m. on October 7, 2026, on eastbound Interstate 10 near 355th Avenue.

Troopers responded to the scene and determined that a car was, for an unknown reason, stopped in the outside lane when it was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer.

The woman driving the car sustained serious injuries. The victim was taken to the hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

The driver of the semi-truck was not hurt.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
