The incident occurred around 3:36 a.m. on August 23, 2026, on the southbound I-215 near Cactus Avenue.

Three vehicles, including an SUV, were involved in the crash. One of the cars overturned onto its side.

One person was located down in traffic lanes, but it was unclear if the victim was ejected from one of the vehicles.

One person was killed in the accident, as per the report.

All southbound lanes of the interstate were closed following the collision.

CHP officers are investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
