According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred around 8:35 p.m. on August 14, 2026, at Ridgecrest Road and Elmwood Drive.

Victorville, CA – Two people were killed in a fiery collision that also left a car split in half Friday night at an intersection near the Spring Valley Lake community of Victorville.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred around 8:35 p.m. on August 14, 2026, at Ridgecrest Road and Elmwood Drive.

A yellow Chevrolet Camaro and a black Dodge Charger were reportedly street racing in the area before a collision was reported involving at least two cars. A Honda car was also located near the scene.

One of the vehicles involved in the accident split in two, and both vehicles caught fire and became fully engulfed in flames.

A female occupant was allegedly ejected from one of the cars.

Firefighters and paramedics responded and pronounced two people dead at the scene – one at 9:02 p.m., and the other at 9:03 p.m.

The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene following the fatal crash.

It was unclear if any other person was injured.

Three tow trucks, two for the vehicle split in half, were requested to respond to the scene to remove the wreckage.

The intersection remained closed for an unknown period following the collision.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
