Kittitas County, WA – Two people were injured in a collision that occurred at an intersection in Kittitas County on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office.

The wreck happened at about 12:30 p.m. July 24, on Number 6 Road and Kittitas Highway at about 12:30 p.m. July 22.

According to the authorities, a pickup truck crashed into a passenger car at the intersection. Two women were trapped in the car after the accident.

The Kittitas Valley Fire & Rescue crews responded to the scene of the collision and helped extricate the trapped parties.

The driver of the car was transported to a hospital by ambulance while a passenger in the car was airlifted to the hospital. Authorities reported that the injured women were in stable condition.

The driver of the truck and passengers riding with them were not injured in the accident.

Power lines were brought down after a utility pole was struck by at least one of the vehicles.

Parts of Number 6 Road and Kittitas Highway were temporarily shut down as authorities worked at the scene.

The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation into the accident.
