Boyle Heights, CA – At least three people were injured in a traffic collision that sent a car into a restaurant in Boyle Heights, authorities reported.

One of the cars, a white SUV, veered off the roadway into a sidewalk near the front of Los 5 Puntos restaurant.
Three people who were eating outside the restaurant were hit by the SUV.
A 50-year-old woman suffered severe injuries, including a broken leg, and a 50-year-old man sustained a head injury. The woman’s daughter was shaken but not seriously injured. The woman and the man were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities are investigating the accident.
