Fresno, CA – A child was among four people who were taken to a hospital after vehicles collided at a Fresno intersection on Friday evening, according to the Fresno Police Department.

At around 6:45 p.m. on May 22, authorities responded to reports of a collision near Maple and Butler avenues.

Initial reports indicate that two cars were involved in the accident. The manner in which the vehicles crashed was not immediately established.

Police and emergency crews responded to the scene and helped the parties involved.

After evaluation, a child and three other parties were transported to a hospital. Two adults had severe injuries while another was treated for minor injuries. The child was transported to the hospital as a precaution.
