Newhall, CA – Two men were killed in a collision that took place at an intersection in Newhall early Sunday morning, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
At around 6:50 a.m. March 1, authorities responded to reports of a collision on Newhall Avenue near Sierra Highway.
Preliminary reports indicate that a Los Angeles County Public Works vehicle was involved in the collision with a second vehicle.
Firefighters responded to the scene and extricated one of the two men riding in the second vehicle.
However, both men were declared deceased at the scene of the crash. A third individual involved in the crash was not hurt.
Newhall Avenue was shut down for hours as authorities investigated and cleared the scene.
The circumstances that led to the crash were yet to be established. Authorities are actively investigating the incident.
