Valley Springs, CA – The two drivers who were injured in a head-on collision that happened last week in Valley Springs have been identified.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the drivers were 54-year-old Tiffany King of Wallace and 67-year-old Keneth Glissman, also from Wallace.

The wreck took place on South Camanche Road east of Quartz Drive and north of Highway 12 at around 12:15 p.m., January 8.

Investigators said King was driving an Acura TSX westbound and Glissman was driving a Subaru Outback eastbound.

For an unknown reason, King drove off the roadway and then made an unsafe turning movement to the left, causing her to lose control of the car. The vehicle crossed into the eastbound traffic and directly into the path of the Outback. The vehicles collided head-on, ending up on the right shoulder of the eastbound lane.

Both drivers sustained major injuries. Glissman was airlifted to San Joaquin General Hospital, and King was taken by ground ambulance to Modesto Memorial Medical Center for treatment.

Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be contributing factors.
