Seattle, WA – At least one person was injured when a semi-truck crashed and rolled over on Interstate 90 in Seattle on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The solo crash was reported shortly before 12:43 p.m. December 31, on the westbound side of the interstate near Rainier Avenue South.
According to WSP, a semi-truck traveling west on I-90 rolled over near the light rail tracks. Reasons as to why the big rig crashed were not immediately determined.
There were reports of minor injuries to at least one person involved in the accident.
Tow trucks were used to remove the big rig from the scene. The westbound lanes of Interstate 90 were completely blocked as crews cleared the scene.
No further information was available. The Washington State Patrol troopers continue to investigate the cause of the incident.
