Sultan, WA – An investigation is underway after a multi-vehicle collision left several people injured on Monday morning in Sultan.
According to a Washington State Patrol report, the accident transpired at around 10 a.m. on Monday, December 22, on US Highway 2.
The WSP reported that a vehicle was traveling westbound on US 2 when, for unknown reasons, it was rear-ended by another vehicle. The impact of the crash sent the rear-ended vehicle into the eastbound side and it was hit by an oncoming car.
Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the scene and determined that the three drivers were hurt. According to the report, the drivers had non-life-threatening injuries and two of them were transported to a hospital for further treatment.
Following the collision, both directions of US 2 were shut down as authorities investigated and cleared the scene.
No additional information was immediately provided. The Washington State Patrol is investigating the accident.
