San Francisco, CA.– A garbage truck struck and injured a pedestrian in the Hayes Valley neighbourhood of San Francisco early Thursday morning, according to the San Francisco Police Department.
The incident took place near Gough and Grove Streets at around 4 a.m. on Thursday, December 11.
According to the report, the pedestrian was hit by a Recology truck in the area. The events leading up to the pedestrian being hit were not immediately established.
The San Francisco Police Department officers responded to the scene and were investigating the accident.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
The cause of the accident remained under investigation.
