Lake Elsinore, CA. – Tyron Marchioni, 52, has been identified by the Riverside County coroner’s office as the motorcyclist who died in a collision on Friday afternoon in Lake Elsinore.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 3:30 p.m. on Ortega (74) Highway near Tenaja Truck Trail.

The man was riding a motorcycle eastbound on SR-74 at an undetermined speed when he crashed into a 2007 Lexus IS250 that was making a left turn from northbound Tenaja Truck Trail.

The rider was ejected from his motorcycle and landed approximately 115 feet from the area of impact.

Marchioni, a resident of Hemet, was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

The driver of the Lexus was unhurt and remained at the accident scene.

Police say speed appeared to be a factor in the crash.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
