Bakersfield, CA. – 6-year-old Azmeret Mayall has been identified as the girl who died in a suspected DUI collision Sunday morning in south Bakersfield, the Kern County Coroner’s Office reported.

According to investigators, Cesar Magana-Mendoza was driving a black sedan westbound when he rear-ended an SUV at high speeds.
The SUV overturned into a vineyard.
Emergency personnel transported Mayall to Kern Medical, from where she was airlifted to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County.
She later died on September 29.
Magana-Mendoza was arrested and booked into jail on DUI and manslaughter charges.
Mayall’s family created a GoFundMe account to help them raise funds.

Bakersfield, CA.- A child died in a crash with a suspected DUI driver in Bakersfield on Sunday morning, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
The incident took place in the 2600 block of Panama Lane at about 7:41 a.m. September 28.
According to police, Cesar Magana, 20, was driving a black sedan westbound on Panama Lane when he crashed into the rear of an SUV at a high rate of speed.
The impact caused the SUV to flip and it came to a rest in a vineyard.
A 6-year-old in the SUV was hospitalized at Orange County Children’s Hospital and was confirmed deceased on Monday.
A woman and an infant in the SUV were transported with minor to moderate injuries.
According to police, Magana was arrested and booked into the Lerdo Justice Facility on DUI charges.
The Bakersfield Police Department is conducting an investigation into the collision.
