Los Angeles, CA. – An innocent driver was injured after a police pursuit ended in a fiery collision Friday night at an intersection in Pico-Union, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
LAPD officers spotted a blue Lexus believed to be stolen on the city’s southside and started pursuing it.
The driver led the officers on a dangerous chase, primarily on the 10 Freeway.
At one point, the suspect hit two vehicles.
The driver exited the freeway in the Pico-Union area.
The chase came to a stop when the Lexus collided with another car at W Pico Boulevard and S Burlington Avenue.
Both vehicles sustained heavy damage. A tire came off one of the cars and caught fire.
An occupant in the innocent car sustained unspecified injuries.
The suspect driver took off on foot but was apprehended in the parking lot of a nearby business.
