Oxnard, CA.- A motorcyclist was hospitalized with major injuries after a crash in Oxnard on Tuesday afternoon.

Shortly before 2 p.m. September 16, the Oxnard Police Department received reports of a collision involving a motorcyclist on Harbor Boulevard and Nautilus Street.

The rider was heading south on Harbor Boulevard when he was hit by a northbound Mercedes SUV that was trying make a left turn at Nautilus Street.

The motorcyclist, a 43-year-old man from Oxnard, was transported to Ventura County Medical Center with critical injuries.

The other driver, a 73-year-old Oxnard man, was unhurt and cooperated with the investigators.

The Oxnard Police Department is investigating the accident.
