San Jose, CA.- A man was killed in a car accident in San Jose early Sunday morning, according to the San Jose Police Department.
The wreck happened on Hayes Avenue and Lily Ann Way at about 2:34 a.m. August 31.
Police reported that a man on a wheelchair was crossing Lily Ann Way when he was hit by a northbound silver 2017 Mercedes sedan.
The man was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The driver fled the scene after the crash but was later located and arrested.
The driver was booked into the Santa Clara Jail.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
