Woman Critically Hurt After Being Attacked by 2 Pit Bulls in Oroville

Oroville, CA. – An Oroville woman was hospitalized in critical condition after she was attacked by two pit bulls Thursday afternoon in the city.

According to the Oroville Police Department, the incident was reported around 12:55 p.m. in the 3200 block of Burlington Avenue.

Police officers responded to the scene and found the woman with multiple dog bites to her neck and arms.

A Life Flight helicopter was dispatched to the scene to airlift the victim to a nearby trauma center. The woman was hospitalized in critical condition.

Both pit bulls were detained at the scene by the local Northwest Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).

The report did not mention the owner of the dogs.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
