Fresno, CA. – A bicyclist is dead after he was hit by a vehicle late Saturday night near an intersection in Fresno.
According to the Fresno Police Department, the incident occurred just after 11 p.m. on Jensen Avenue near Highway 41.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene after receiving reports of the collision and found a man lying in the roadway.
Paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the vehicle involved in the collision was found at Jensen and East avenues. The driver did not appear to be under the influence and cooperated with investigators.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
