Josephine County, OR – The Oregon State Police has identified a pedestrian killed in a last week Tuesday morning on Highway 199 in Josephine County as Kale Phillip Luke, 31, of Grants Pass.
The crash was reported at around 5:40 a.m. on April 15 on State Route 199 near milepost 26.
A preliminary investigation indicated Luke was reportedly walking in the roadway when he was struck by a southbound Ford Escape, operated by Andrew Martin Vendrick, 39, of Santa Rosa (CA).
Kale was declared dead at the scene.
Vendrick was reportedly uninjured.
No additional details regarding the mishap were provided.
An investigation is underway.
