Renton, WA.- One person was killed in a car collision that took place in Renton early Tuesday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The incident took place on State Route 167, near the Renton Village shopping plaza at about 2:25 a.m.
A driver was traveling the wrong way on northbound SR 167 when they collided with a semi-truck.
The wrong-way driver, who was not identified, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The roadway was shut down as authorities investigated the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
