Rosemead, CA. – 60-year-old Frank Cherry died when he was hit by a vehicle Friday morning in Rosemead, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner reported.

The accident took place around 6:35 a.m. on the northbound Rosemead Boulevard on-ramp to the westbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Cherry was walking on the on-ramp when he was struck by a car under unclear circumstances.

Emergency personnel responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The on-ramp was closed from 7:09 a.m. to 10:06 a.m. following the incident.

Rosemead, CA – A man was killed in a Friday morning pedestrian accident in Rosemead, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at around 6:35 a.m. on the northbound Rosemead on-ramp to the westbound San Bernardino Freeway.

A vehicle struck the victim in the area in unclear circumstances.

The name of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.

The CHP issued a SigAlert at 7:09 a.m. shutting down the on-ramp.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.
