Pasco, WA.- Three people were killed in a wrong-way collision that took place in Pasco on Friday, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The accident happened on Interstate 182 at 20th Avenue on December 27.

The WSP reports that a 2020 Ford Mustang was traveling the wrong way on I-182 when it collided head-on with an oncoming 2014 Honda Civic.

Two occupants of the Honda, a 39-year-old woman and a 22-month-old, were killed in the crash.

The other two occupants of the Honda, a 42-year-old woman and a 6-year-old, were both transported to a hospital, where the child was pronounced deceased.

The wrong-way driver, a 37-year-old, was taken to Kadlec with non-life-threatening.

The driver is facing charges including DUI and vehicular homicide, according to the WSP.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
