Inyo County, CA. – A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a semi-truck early Thursday morning in Olancha, the California Highway Patrol said.

The accident was reported around 12:07 a.m. on northbound Highway 395, about two miles north of Coso Junction.

Reportedly, a male pedestrian was walking in traffic lanes when he was hit by a semi-truck.

The victim suffered major injuries. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital in unknown condition.

CHP officers are investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
