Sandoval was walking northbound on the highway when for unknown reasons a northbound 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by 38-year-old Yakima man left the roadway and hit Sandoval.
Yakima County, WA. – 32-year-old Joe Sandoval from Wapato was identified as a male pedestrian killed in a late Saturday night crash in Yakima County.
According to the Washington State Police, the crash occurred September 21 on the northbound State Route 97.
Sandoval was walking northbound on the highway when for unknown reasons a northbound 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by 38-year-old Yakima man left the roadway and hit Sandoval.
Sandoval was pronounced dead at the scene.
Reports indicated that charges are pending for the driver involved.
The police said drugs and alcohol were not suspected in the wreck.
