Elderly Man Critically Injured in San Diego Car Crash on Camino Del Rio N
2 Injured in Head-On Collision on Camino Del Rio N in Grantville, San Diego
San Diego, California (March 3, 2023) – Two people died in a Thursday morning head-on collision in the Grantville area of San Diego.
According to a report by the San Diego Police Department, the accident happened in the 4200 block of Camino Del Rio N at around 11:30 a.m.
A 95-year-old man was driving a Toyota pickup truck westbound on the highway when he drifted into the opposite lanes for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a Honda SUV traveling eastbound.
The Toyota driver suffered major injuries, including several fractures.
The 77-year-old woman driving the Honda suffered minor injuries in the accident.
More details about the accident were not provided.
The San Diego Police Traffic Division is investigating the collision.
