Man Dies, Kayla Espinoza Arrested After Modesto Pedestrian Accident on Service Road near Esmar Road
Modesto, California (December 15, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal DUI pedestrian accident that claimed a 41-year-old man’s life on Tuesday evening in Modesto.
According to a local news source, the accident happened on December 13 on Service Road near Esmar Road.
Police said a man was riding a mobility device when a Toyota driven by Kayla Espinoza hit him.
The Toyota was reportedly driving at 65 mph at the time of the accident.
Firefighters and medics rushed to the scene to aid the male pedestrian. Efforts to resuscitate him bore no fruit, and he was declared dead at the scene.
Kayla was later arrested for DUI.
