2 Killed in Atascadero Accident on Highway 101 near Santa Barbara Road
Atascadero, California (April 17, 2022) – Two people died following a fiery collision on Highway 101 near Santa Barbara Road in Atascadero Saturday evening, according to California Highway Patrol.
A white sedan and a gray Chevy Suburban were involved in the collision on the northbound side of Highway 101.
The crash happened just before 8 p.m. April 16.

The sedan caught fire following the impact and several people were trapped inside.
Two people died in the accident.
Four other parties were injured. There was no update on the extent of their injuries.
The CHP is handling the investigation into the crash.
