Motorcyclist Hospitalized after Rio Vista Accident on Highway 160 near Highway 12
Rio Vista, California (September 5, 2021) – A rider was hospitalized with serious injuries following a traffic collision in Rio Vista Saturday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the crash site just after 12:30 p.m. on Highway 160, just north of Highway 12.
As per the CHP report, a black Dodge Dart collided with a Harley Davidson motorcycle on the northbound side of the highway after the rider ran into its back.
Due to the impact, the motorcycle was thrown off the roadway and down an embankment.
Rio Vista Motorcycle Accident
The motorcyclist sustained major injuries and was rushed to an area hospital for medication.
Details regarding the involved motorist were not immediately available at the report time.
The accident remains under active investigation.
