Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on Santa Rosa Avenue and Elsa Drive in South Santa Rosa

Rider Critically Injured in Santa Rosa Motorcycle Accident on Santa Rosa Avenue and Elsa Drive 

Santa Rosa, California (August 3, 2021) – A motorcyclist sustained major injuries in a traffic collision in Santa Rosa on Tuesday morning, according to authorities.

The incident occurred on Santa Rosa Avenue and Elsa Drive at about 11:45 a.m. 

Authorities said a blue motorcycle was northbound on Santa Rosa Avenue when they collided with an SUV that was attempting to make a left turn onto eastbound Elsa Drive from the southbound center turn lane.

Motorcyclist Critically Injured in Santa Rosa Crash  

Medics responded to the accident and attended to the motorcyclist. The rider was then transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the SUV was uninjured and cooperated with the investigators. The driver was not believed to be impaired.

The crash caused a closure of the intersection for the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing.
