Truckee, California (August 3, 2021) – The co-founder of Rainier Companies based in Dallas, John Kenneth “Ken” Dunn, was among six people who died in a plane crash last week on Monday near Lake Tahoe.

Just after 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 26, authorities received a report that a Bombardier CL 600 jet had crashed in the area near the Ponderosa Golf Course.

The plane was headed from Coeur d’ Alene in Idaho and the pilot was trying to land at the Truckee Tahoe Airport when it crashed into the woods and caught fire.

Dunn and five other people on board the plane were killed in the crash.

The cause of the wreck is under investigation by the FAA and the NTSB.
