Yucca Valley, CA – A 60-year-old man from Yucca Valley was killed in an early Monday crash on Twentynine Highway in Yucca Valley.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, the accident happened at around 12:15 a.m. on November 9 on Twentynine Palms Highway near Mohawk Trail.
Reports revealed that the man was driving his vehicle on the highway when, for unknown reasons, he drove over the center median as he approached the intersection, crossed into the opposing lanes of traffic, jumped the curb, and hit the pole.
The man was critically injured and was rushed to the Hi-Desert Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The name of the deceased was withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
