Xueyuan Zhang Hit, Killed by Car on Coast Highway in Laguna Beach
Orange County, California (January 30, 2023) – 39-year-old Xueyuan Zhang has been identified as the man who was killed in a pedestrian accident in Laguna Beach early Saturday morning.
The fatal pedestrian accident happened in the 700 block of Coast Highway at around 2:47 a.m., according to the Laguna Beach Police Department.
Zhang was in a crosswalk when he was struck by a car. He died at the accident scene.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
