Man Injured While Pruning Tree in Westlake Work Accident on Crest Drive
Westlake, California (May 15, 2023) – A man pruning a tree got stuck 50 feet off the ground, prompting firefighters to respond and rescue him Saturday in Westlake, authorities said.
The incident happened in the 800 block of Crest Drive, where a man was pruning a pine tree.
Firefighters responded to the scene and found the victim 50 feet up the partially trimmed tree with arm and leg injuries.
The firefighters used an aerial ladder to rescue the victim.
A firefighter was lowered to the man and secured him with ropes before both were lowered to the ground.
The man was transported to Los Robles Medical Center in Thousand Oaks in stable condition.
