Employee Killed in Chico Explosion on Boeing Avenue
Chico, California (October 22, 2022) – A worker was killed in an explosion that happened in North Chico on Friday afternoon, according to the authorities.
The incident happened at around 3:49 p.m. on October 21, at a project along Boeing Avenue, near the Chico airport.
Authorities said a clogged pipe is believed to have caused an explosion on a cement truck.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and performed life-saving measures on the worker, who sadly succumbed to the injuries at the scene.
The identity of the worker was not immediately released.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
