Crystal Conover Dies in North Phoenix Accident near 14th Avenue and Thunderbird Road

North Phoenix, Arizona (May 2, 2023) – 41-year-old Crystal Conover was killed after a head-on collision Monday afternoon near 14th Avenue in North Phoenix.

According to a police report, the wreck happened just before noon on May 1 near 14th Avenue and Thunderbird Road.

Conover was traveling east in the westbound lanes of Thunderbird Road and collided head-on with a truck. Conover’s car caught fire after the collision.

Conover was declared dead at the accident scene.

The truck driver was hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

It’s unknown whether impairment was a factor in the accident.
